Going home last night following my work colleague and i couldnt keep up with him in his prelude!!! coz my sodding TC kept coming on and then not going off for 20 seconds or so...

TC is supposed to help you get Traction so that you can carry on with your journey as quick as possible...

I've heard good things about the Racelogic one from ppl on here,

But someone explain these Launch control and powershift options, and has anyone got them as an option ???

Launch control is basically a secondary rev limiter... you set the limiter (at say 4000 rpm), floor the pedal, and let the clutch out. Best traction possible off the line.

I think the RLTC shifting option is called clutchless shifting, not powershifting (which does use the clutch).

Doesn't work on auto's (cant remember what you have)

Don't think - don't hesitate - just ring up now and get RLTC fitted

It's transformed my enjoyment of the car

I would have lost it again big-time last night - tight roundabout - giving it some welly - showing some silly sod in a vectra what-for -

RLTC gives mild shrug - says 'silly boy' - puts me back on line - and off I go

Just go for it !

You still have to use the clutch, this is not a £200 semi automatic gearbox conversion.

BTW Launch control does not work with the autobox AFAIK

So, just to get this 100% clear

I have a UK spec Auto so, I only need the regular TC as it works with my ABS ? (i.e. No wheel sensors required)

I can't use Launch control because I have an auto - didn't want it anyway

Don't want data logging.

Do you have to buy the Cockpit adjustable slip control box extra ?

Thanks

1st thing to be done after Xmas

Yes - works with your ABS

Little box comes with it (Oo-er missus!) to be velcro'ed whever you want really

Suspect that this could be more aesthetic (very minor point)

Mines just set on 'wet' permanently at present

Cheers

Yer Paul, Auto as it says in the sig below,

Im definetly gonna invest everyone raves about it, sometimes the stock TC does well, other times i think its having a wa*k or something coz it dont do anything....

I presume its best to have it fitted at a Offical supplier???

How much are they couldnt find the price...

Bout £600+the rest or thereabouts - check it out with Justin 'Torqueic at his site

Takes about 4 hrs fitting (more for tea and PS2)

I expect Chris Wilson can fit? He's up near you! Chris?

Although many guys will probably tell you it's an easy-peasy DIY job - not for me it wasn't!

Yep - I love it - remember when you didn't have to worry about going into that roundabout at over 20MPH? Welcome back!

Cheers

Paul
