Attero
How should I desmoke my rear lights? Apparently it's hard to see them at night and in the rain, and to be honest, I like the look of unsmoked lights. Apparently it's been coated in something and I can remove it, I just don't know the best way.
Neil-NA
Foliatec do a tint removing spray if thats what you need. Halfrauds used to sell it.

Attero
I doubt anyone will... tinted lights as far as I am aware, aren't that popular. But I do want facelift lights. Don't know the part number for them do you?

gjp
Try using led bulbs as they burn brighter
Supranature
Try Isopropyl alcohol mate. Any Chemist stocks it. It takes the rubber crap off the dash EASILY. Should take your "smokey bits" off no problem.

Attero
This thread is full of win!! That's a first. I asked Toyota how much they are selling facelift lights for and that was £160, so Whiftbitz seem like the right way forward. I did see them there before, but wandered if I could get them cheaper. Supranature
Slightly off-topic guys, but does anyone know if you can "facelift-stylee" pre-fl rears like you can with the fronts? Sorry for hijack Mr Tero...................

Sorry for hijack Mr Tero................... Wel the 'inserts' are a different shape, they go inward on the prefacelift and outward on the facelift. You could take the lights apart and paint the inserts the same gunmetal colour but since the insert is different and also the lenses are different, it probably won't have the effect you want. Also seems like a lot of hassle when the facelift rears are only 140 bucks.
Attero
Paul is selling them for £140. Still... I guess it's not important for the moment. Desmoking I'd rather do though. Although I'm afraid that if I do it, I will miss the smoked lights. I could respray them, but I'm pretty useless at little things.

If you get facelifts then I doubt you'll miss them, IMO facelifts on a black car are perfect.

The facelift rear lights are the ones with the silver/grey base isn't it? I think they look superb on black cars. I will set my mind on some facelifts soon. Attero
Great! I've been looking for a good picture of them like that. The only one I could find was JamieP's. They do look fantastic!
