Guest initial_j
run into more problems. engine and box out the car, v150 getrag bolted to a 1jz, so to seperate them if im right i have to unbolt the clutch from the flywheel via the access plates. problem with this the engine has been sat for a while with the head off, and all the cylinders are pretty much rusted solid, so not much chance of the flywheel turning! so starting to wonder how the hell im going to get access to the clutch to flywheel bolts if i loosed off the gbox to engine bolts, could in theory spin the gbox housing round so the position of the access plates moves? Andy Blyth
If the engine and box are out, all you should need to do is remove the release fork through the inspection hole then remove all the bolts around the bellhousing. The box should slide straight back. If you were trying to do this under the car, the bellhousing would foul on the transmission tunnel. Guest initial_j
ha. no probs. i can see two 14mm bolts holding the fork on i think, but the angle of them, makes it impossible to get a spanner on?
