speed dial stopped working

Hi,

 

It stopped working, needle doesn't move anymore. It is good that my wife now stop whining about me speeding but really need to sort it out.

 

Didn't do anything to the dash or the car, only thing I did was disconnected the battery for a few weeks. today reconnected the battery and speed dial stopped moving.

 

no warning light , not flashing , drives normal

 

any ideas?

Thought this was going to be a telecomms question! I think you mean the speedometer.

 

First thing I'd try is disconnecting the battery again for 30 seconds and then reconnecting it.

Has your been converted from kph to mph? If it has then your converter is probably knackered just like mine is. If you manage to find a supplier of these let me know

Is it fitted with a speed converter/limiter? Perhaps there is a bad connection or the converter chip died...
