Sorry to hear about your nan mate , RIP.

 

Thanks bill, at least shes not in pain now, she has been suffering for over a year now and she just could not hang on any longer, i's actually a blessing tat she is at rest now, but still hurts like hell that I never got to say good bye.

That's the best way to look at it, philosophically.

It's easy to punish yourself wishing you had done various things before they died but people unfortunately die when you least expect. I'm sure she knew how you felt about her.

 

My dad died 4 weeks ago :(:(:(:(:(

 

I was in a terrible state at the time and have had all sorts of horrible thoughts going through my mind wishing I had said and done various things.

 

I'm sure everyone who suffers a bereavement will go through this to one degree or another.

 

It's got easier as the days have passed, time is a great healer.

Sorry to hear about that Gareth, always a hard time regardless of the nature. As you say, you have a little respite knowing she is at peace now.

 

They say when you're going through hell... just keep on going. You'll get through it soon enough.
