hodge
Hi guys I've wired up my electric fans via relays and want them controlled by the ECU so they come in at different temps. Now Ryan told me to run the relay negative feed to the passenger footwell now does that mean the relay earth or the ignition switch feed to activate the fans. Thanks John
edge
I think he wants to switch the nuetral/earth as the ecu will more than likely just ground the pin/wire rather than send out a few + amps.
hodge
So you mean the earth on the relay then mate. Cool I'll do that tonight thanks for your help.
edge
Have you run a separate feed via fuse etc to the fans? If so the earth to the ecu I have no experience of ecu's just electronics and control
Tricky-Ricky
Yes most third party electronic devices like piggybacks, fan controllers ECUs etc use earth path switching, its easier and has less chance of frying anything.
