tbourner
I've thought about this 'old wrinkly' problem, but I know of several older folks with tattoos (grandparents in law mostly), most of them are navy type tats of womens names etc., and it doesn't look odd at all, I don't think they regret any of them, I never see them and think "eew wrinkly old tattoo", so what's the problem! Stonkin
By the time you are old you will have more wrinkles to worry about than wrinkly ink
Ricky49
why would you care about what it looks like when your 60? just means you will have had many years of enjoyment out of them. plus a great memory of when you had them done. Because Im sure when my skin gives up the ghost it will be a mass of black ink with no way of seeing what it is. But Im liking what your saying and will book my next appointment this friday when I go infor my latest tattoo.

AndrewOW
I haven't got any tattoos, but I've got two ideas, and they both involve the UV ink, as I think it'll look amazing. Good luck with getting yours done Trev, as once you've had one done, you know for sure if you get the 'bug', and I don't mean any of the nasty ones like Mr Wilson is trying to scare you with! AndrewOW
I am considering having this done but I am not 100% sure yet. it would be my first (and probably last) tattoo. You could so easily turn that one into the Decepticon's logo, but I don't know if you should really. Really, you shouldn't.
tbourner
cool beans - where u going for it?? i go to Red Dragon in Horsham for all mine I've been recommended to go to Ravenskin in Selsey, friend had 2 of hers done there and said he's really good. //edit: I know you were asking Ricky, but Horsham's within tattooing distance so thought I'd reply. Ricky49
A place in Worthing mate Southcoast tattoos I think. My brother in law is covered in them and won't go anywhere else, his brother and dad go there aswell. I used to go a place in Preston when I lived there and they were very good but it's 5hours away. SilverSoop
the pain does feel like that and also about how addictive thy are lol, i always said i would have 1, ive now got 6 and want more lol I have always wanted one...I was planning on having my name on the underside of my right forearm in old style writing if you know what I mean... I worry about the pain and that's why i haven't had it ever done lol. My dad has got 5 of them and my ex girlfirend now has 6!! When I was with her, she had one and she says that they're addictive I want a full sleeve on both arms and my legs done from the knee down. But I always think about what it will look like when I'm 60+. Exactly...old and wrinkly and you'll have to pull back the skin to show someone what it is that you've got on your arm...or where ever it may be

Ian W
Considering a tattoo myself guys (top of my right arm) but there's only one thing that concerns me. It's not so much my pain threshold, but the fact that my body always seems to take forever to heal itself! A fairly minor scrape or cut can take months to heal properly and I scar pretty easily too. Is it pointless worrying about this and just going for it or should I just not bother? Cheers Ian
tbourner
As long as you go to a good tattooist it will be fine. Mine took longer to heal than they said it would but now looks good.

That's pretty much what I figured. I'm sure there'll be a couple of places that can be recommended in the area so it's more just a case of deciding what I want! Decisions, decisions...
