j_jza80
http://mobile.pistonheads.com/sales/1975312.htm Unbelievably cheap for an LS1 with a 6 speed manual. May not be the most glamorous car, and probably not shy in the bends, but oh so much fun for the money. Got me' seriously tempted, although it's a fair trek. garethr
1993 - that's too early for an LS1, isn't it? Still cheap for V8 noises, 400bhp, and a 6-speed, though.

PJ
Where does it say that it's LS1 powered or am I missing something? The advert states that it has some upgraded parts from a 2001 LS1 (brakes/diff) but no mention of anything else?
tony tt
Thats worth the money if the add is true to its word. Good find.

IIRC the Ls1 and Lt1 have different bell housings, so the tremec 6 speed wouldn't fit an LT1.
JamieP
Was the LS1 available in 93? No number on the advert:rolleyes:
j_jza80
Was the LS1 available in 93? No number on the advert:rolleyes: No, I'd assumed a retrofit, although now I'm thinking maybe a bell housing adapter has been used with the new gearbox. Still an awful lot of car for the money even if it is an LT1, and the gearbox is worth £1.5-£2k on it's own.
Chris Wilson
It will and should have an LT1 in it, the LS1 didn't emerge in that model until 1998

JamieP
When i thought it might be an LS1 i asked for his number to call him about the car, this was his reply. As he never gave me a number i didnt bother replying. Hi, I am abroad at the moment but if you want to pick the car up my friend where its parked has the keys and the v5. The distributor hasnt been replaced yet so I am not sure how the car will run . Thanks Then today i got this but still no number. Hi, I need to get the car out of where its stored soon, you can have it for £2000 if you want it. can pick it up anytime, just remember the opti needs replacing, should cost less than £500 to get it sorted out. keys and everything are with my friend where it is stored. Not that im interested now but you think its a scam? strange he wont give a number for him or his "friend"
