msupra
I had rims on order but they said they won't have them in stock for another month so I got a refund. now I've been doing some research on supra wheel weight and they are about 24.5 lbs front and 26.5 lbs rear. These are the for stock 17". the non-turbo Supra's has 16", I'm not sure how much those weighed. I have a 1993 non-turbo 5 speed btw. I wanted to buy stern st-8 rims, yes I know they aren't the best brand, but from what I know they are good quality for the money. I'm 18 years old so my budget can't go that far, so understand my choice the rims I was looking at are 18x8.5 (about 25/26 lbs) and 18x9.5 (about 28/29 lbs) so basically they will be about a couple pounds more on each corner. Is this something I should stress about or is it no big deal? I'm just using my car to rip around town and stuff like that, no tracking, I just don't want decreased performance or fuel consumption. thanks
Rich8v
Unless you have race/drag/track car, i think you're making this too complicated. The simple way is, 17's for handling, 19's for looks, 18's is a compromise of both. You've clearly done your research, to find a set of wheels that are not too heavy that you like the looks of. As long as you get the geometry checked after fitting the wheels, I cant see there being a problem.

imi
If you aren't a racing driver competing on track then doubt you'll notice any difference in the real world........
supra_aero
i had some cheap wheels on my old supra which weighed a ton. Then bought advan s and the weight difference was massive. Bear in mind most cheap alloys weigh much more than stock. And the advan s were quite a bit lighter than stock. And for me there was a very noticeable increase in performance. Though i did upgrade the tyres at same time
