evinX
Duno, but alot of people say it drains the water well, for me id want some fibreglass covers to block the vents of and have some mesh there, as it could rust your engine if waters gets in while driving. AndrewOW
Cleaning the car after rain and nasty weather is one thing. Having to clean the engine each time too? No way Josie! All those water spots. Not nice.
SupraStar 3000
I've had a TSII bonnet for a few years and never had any problem with water or rain,.... ....however, it does make a mess of your engine bay and if you have a chrome parts, they may need cleaning regularly
dani_r
My biggest worry is electrical issues with the water. Is this a possiblity?

As for electricals, I doubt that any bonnet manufacturer would design something with open areas above the electrics. I haven't heard issues from anyone else. The Raven
Mine has rusted the battery clamps, all the rest has been ok. Colin fitted some plexi glass to his.
Swampy442
Is this storing it outside in the rain or just driving?
supra_aero
My biggest worry is electrical issues with the water. Is this a possiblity? Good ones have rain trays to shield anything important. Not to mention decent ones are designed to have vents in place where there is no danger of electrical shorting. So in answering your question, if you buy a decent one you have nothing to worry about. dani_r
Is this storing it outside in the rain or just driving? I'm waiting to get myself a cover (bit skint atm! ) So for now the car is parked outside minus a cover!
foodfreak
Have a look here http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=225708 Mine is out in all weathers, never had an electrical problem
JamesArup
Hehehe .. I was about to link that Yah, I've had the bonnet for 5 years actually (I checked) and I've never had any issues. It's more the fact that I'd like to give the engine bay a good clean etc, and water going in there leaves nasty spots on everything.
