PS3 finally hacked

Releases are appearing on websites that have been backed up so are a different file format to ISO. Therefore its pretty much a straight copy over from pc to ps3. Or with the ftp app.

Buy 2 ps3's ;) 1 for online gaming, 1 for off. The prices of some ps3's on ebay is the the price of 3 new releases, would pay for itself in a month. And for saying the amount of time this jailbreak thing has been out and the extra's already available I think the future could be promising for additional bits and bobs that the ps3 could do.

And Matt, earlier in the thread we were talkin about bluray disc size. So far the largest I've come across is god of war 3 at nearly 40gb.

Gaz

Edited to add, 650gb internal hdd 45quid delivered at amazon ps3 compatible.

Yup that's the chappy. There is a special FTP program out now as well, think it allows you to copy it directly via the NIC?

Most of the games I spotted were around the 5-10GB mark, not bad at all if you have a decent sized HDD.

As it happens I already have 2 PS3's :D

Is it taboo to go online with a hacked PS3 then?

Scott did you get it to run through your htc (desire?) in the end?

You may have seen it but the guide is on psxscene in latest news.

As for the messege, it was nothing really. Just about being a tramp or something

Launch PS3 60gb, 250gb slim, 4 controllers and around 50 games with Move on preorder... Yep tramp  The backup thing doesn't really interest me, its all the other extra's that have started to crop up, FTP, PSP remote play etc and its only in the early days :D

And a PSP is in the works (what I am holding out for) :D

I would use my mobile but I can have gaming sessions for quite afew hours and the device has to be left plugged in so wouldn't be very feasable for me to have the phone plugged in for the length of time.

no it doesnt :D

the original psjailbreak had to be and the psgroove which was ported was coded so it didnt.

Apparently the psjailbreak team put some code in that if it was removed it would cause the system to reboot.

Bet you wish you knew this at the weekend lol

Nah, my car was in a million pieces at the weekend so its good job i didnt know about it or it'd still be undercover in the garage

Was sure the HTC had to be left connected from what I read.

I've read the likes of PS3key and Freedom (once released) can be disconnected but with the files being on the net, may as well use a device I have rather than spending.

So are you saying the HTC can be unplugged after you've booted it up? :search::eyebrows:

Cheers

lol no worries mate, there's that many devices now that can run it its hard to keep track!

Few more developments today over at psxscene, 1 being you can now burn none working games to a disc and they will work making the compatibility list even greater! Dual layer dvd's can be used if game size is small enough or bluray discs.
