Rummy
What's the little knob with what looks like a "H" on top of it, at the front of the engine next to the coolant expansion tank on an NA about? I turned it and some air came out. Is it for bleeding or do I need to get it re-gassed? SteveC
The 'H' cap is the high pressure side of the system. There's a valve under the cap. When you heard the air (it would be aircon gas) come out, it would have been (hopefully) just a little gas that got by the valve and was stopped by the cap - until you turned it! It's the one on the right (looking from the front of the car) not far from the bulkhead with an 'L' on it where the system is topped up. If your system runs cold, then no real need to top it up or to get it re-gassed.
