nevins
Not sure if you need to be 25 to be on a traders policy .
Abz
To take out a motor trade policy normally you need proof of a company etc, my friend has a hire company & all the employee's need to be over 21 to be insured on the cars. Policy's differ on the one you take out. I'd would think anyone on a trader policy under 25 it would expensive. I know my mates one is, though any hire's under 25 can only drive up to a 2.0 engine. geordie82
sure there will be a way just no doubt cost a fortune just to get a 20 year old insured on my van as a named driver cost me £2000 in commercial insurance
barneybrendan
be aware though on a traders policy you will only get paid out the trade price on the car if stolen or written off.
ozz
Is he a motor trader then is the obvious question? I was talking to a trader about this as we had several cars at the time so it looked like an option. He said if you need to claim they ask for proof of transactions and won't pay out without it.
