SupraGirlie
After selling the GZ TT Aero earlier this year, I have been seriously bored with driving a Saxo VTR... But I couldn't afford another Supra quite yet... So I spotted a cheap RX7 on a forum which was a non runner, no MOT etc.. but it had some decent parts I could sell on and I had a feeling it would be a simple fix after speaking with the owner who didn't seem to have a clue about RX7's... Headed over to Southampton, loaded it up on the trailer and handed the guy a little over 2k and dropped it to Super 7 Auto's in Henfield to find out what was wrong with it! After a while of trying to start it, checking the basics... we found the problem... a fuse... Engine has good compression, rebuilt by well known specialists 15,000kms ago.. so now that I had a decent car with parts to sell.. I found I had a bit of spare change left over to buy some new parts with Here it the car when I first bought it... So far this it's what has been done.. Took off the old exhaust and put on an HKS Hi-Power Exhaust and De-cat pipe which sounds a fair bit better (and louder) Unfortunately I didn't realise fitting a decat meant the engine had to come out so the wastegate could be made bigger or something..!! Also sold the rare Mazda Speed seats and bought some stock black leather seats. Ditch the RE-Amemiya front and Spoiler and start to put on the Burnout Kit - Yes it's a replica and was an extremely bad fit, so the garage spent about a week and a half just making it fit, then making sure it lined up... This is when it finally went on but as you can see it still needed a LOT of work to look decent.. Got rid of the RE-AM wheels and put some WEDS Bulivin T8's on... Silk Road adjustable Coilovers going on today as you can see the car is pretty high on the stock suspension!! Still to go this week to make Rotorstock in time.. a full respray in black, rear wide arches to be fitted then rolled and flared... Anyway it will end up looking like this by Friday

Matt H
Just a fuse! That's unreal! What a stroke of luck! Don't tell the original owner though, I bet he'd hang himself! I love those wheels, stunning

You'd be surprised how many times people say "rx7 won't start, think needs rebuild" And its a spark plug or flooded or a sticky apex seal. Happens ALOT. Much to my benefit *which is a hint of next project(s) coming soon

Septic
Wow the bottom pics look sweet. I've always wanted a RX7 but my mate tells me to steer away because of the reliability of the wankel engine. But if you essentially got the car for 2k who cares lol.

Much to my benefit *which is a hint of next project(s) coming soon Dude you are coming with me when I go looking for cars:d If I could get an rx7 for 2k that needed less than 1k spending to fix then I would not be bothered by the running cost one bit:) The thing with me is I know nothing about these cars so I wouldnt know what needs a rebuild or what needs a simple fix:blink: Them bottom two photos look amazing I would love one like that. Talk about strike it lucky:d

You'd be surprised. There's a reason they're so cheap nowadays.
