Dnk
always good advice from "the older members" its not because dnk is smart its because he has been around so dam long and has seen this issue before Actually i've never come across this before and it's purely and simply me being a smart ass
jackso11
I reckon either the black bock is a stock immobilizer and you need to by pass it, or it has something to do withthe factory locking system which you don't use but the clifford alarm fitter wired the immobilizer of your clifford in to it. Stonkin
does it really have to be removed?
Dnk
does it really have to be removed? Exactly what i was thinking great minds eh
Stonkin
Just thinking logically here. Find a small box in the car and not sure what it does With wanting to tidy things up, i remove it Car doesnt start Well either put it back, never to be seen or in the way again, or enter a painfull process rewiring alarm and immobilisers Just a thought

Stonkin
At the moment it is if you want to start/drive it :d Was just about to say Fair play though if you trying to get weight down. But surely you could just avoid dinner 1 night and lose the same as what that box weighs?
Dnk
The best advice is get a good auto electrician to figure it out for you. What do you intend to strip out the car to save around 250 kgs (550lbs) ? Edited August 25, 2010 by Dnk (see edit history)
Rich8v
Is there a part number on the box that someone could put into the parts database, to see what it comes up with.
Bulldogge
i took almost everything out of the interior ... just 2 racing seats... the dash i still have. i removed airbag, frontspoiler (active), light exhaust, aircondition, etc., door panel change to carbon ones next step will be replacing of the windows to lexan ones, bootlid/targa roof/bonnet replace with carbon/fiberglass ones, and remove somemore unnecessary things... like the BOX soo i should see the ~1300 kg
nevins
Why do you want it removed? Just secure it out the way. If you can find a wiring diagram for it, it is a simple job to by pass, ore the other thing to do is just relocateit in the dash. Bulldogge
yes.. i actually reloacted it under the dash... i will check all the wiring ... i should find out how i can bypass it... so i can remove it the result i will post than ... so the next one will have it much easier
