Wanted: your epic Toyota stories!

Hi all,

I've been asked to find stories from Toyota owners about how their cars have helped them through challenging situations.

We're talking about Land Cruisers rescuing kittens, your wife having a baby in your Supra, your MR2 floated across the Strait of Gibraltar, that sort of thing.

It's for Toyota's own brand magazine (Today, Tomorrow, Toyota), and the owners whose tales are chosen will feature in a forthcoming issue.

If you can help, or you know of a suitable yarn we could use, please get in contact with me through private message or reply to this thread.

Cheers,

Gaz

How about my Landcruisers (80 series) fuel filter gave up (I had no tools nor new fuel filter) so I just took small rubber from coolant expansion tank, connected before/after fuel filter pipes and made another 500 miles pulling 1.7 tonne Supra on 1 tonne trailer behind? :) Never missd a beat, still runing happily (with new fuel filter now) :p

We're looking for something with more of a human factor mate :) thanks anyway!

I had to pee in a bottle on the way to JAE one year as i was driving and the convoy wouldent stop again. Then i emptyed it out the window all over Busters Supra on the motorway by accident. Does that count? It involves two Supras and humans mate :)

I'm not sure proud Toyota owners would want to be associated with that ;)

I have a tale involving a Celica ST1600, a car park in Bursledon, a naked lady, a leather gear knob and an erratic idle whilst in neutral. To me it was indeed, truly epic.

As epic as I'm sure that was, not sure the demographic of our readers is quite prepared for your sorded yarn :)

How about my 1 litre Yaris making a 30 mile journey in 18 minutes to get home for the birth of my daughter. Called the local radio station to ask them to tell people to keep an eye out for a low flying gold Yaris. It must have done the job lol

That sounds much more like it :) Can you PM me with a bit more of the story please? Do you still have the car or have any pictres of it? Do you remember the route you took? That could be perfect!

A pleasure...

:D In the Reader's Wives section, maybe. ;)

Unless it works out he was breaking the speed limits;)

It was all on a private racetrack, or a motorway right to his front door! :)

When my missus was pregnant(full term) i said that she's couldn't be a passenger in my car as its a very harsh ride for a pregnant lady So she hadn't been in my car for the last 2 months of the pregnancy.

She had gone 4 days over her due date and she had to drop her car off for an mot then i had to bring her back in the supe. Well it was a very harsh drive back for her and she complained all the way home, We had been sat down for half hour and the contractions started. Is that good enough:)
