Chris Wilson
http://www.chriswilson.tv/fuel_test.pdf This is from 2007, and the V-Power fuel from Shell is the expensive race stuff, not "normal" V-Power. It was available in the UK from at least one roadside filling station, maybe still is, but the point of posting it is to show the difference to a power and torque curve that a decent race fuel, even of modest octane number, can make to an unmodified engine with mappable management. Abz
Some brilliant research information Chris! Found this amazing: 100 Octane V-Power Racing MoTeC 20 363.7 +37.2% I tend to use Shell V-Power all the time (Though 99) as I would imagine these cars ran 100 ron while in Japan? GlennK
How does that compare with Tesco Super 'Green'. I thought that was 100+ RON?
Shane
How does that compare with Tesco Super 'Green'. I thought that was 100+ RON? Tesco Super has been re-branded now and is called "Momentum" and is 99 RON Found this, obviously not as scientific as the other stuff but interesting all the same. http://www.tesco.com/momentum99/productBenefits.asp and full report: http://www.tesco.com/momentum99/files/Tesco-Momentum-99-Fuel-Report.pdf Edited August 19, 2010 by Shane (see edit history)
