Rob
I think older people are the worst for not wearing a seat belt. I know I often forget or don't bother, and people of an even older age than myself () are often worse than I am. That's worse, because older people will have already passed on their stupid genes, whereas young idiots can get killed before procreation, which is a good thing. jonathanc
Its all very odd, young people. Indeed, even my 6 year old knows that seat belts are compulsory when travelling in a car. She buckles it herself even Tbh I am a bit shocked people still don't wear seatbelts. It DOES make a difference between life and death in an accident. Willson
http://www.guardian-series.co.uk/news/8347971.CHINGFORD__Crash_driver__may_have_been_speeding_/ DS Lock confirmed rumours that plasterboard screws were found stuck to the road surface at the scene, but said they were not the cause of the crash. He said: “There were no punctures and no evidence at all that they had anything to do with it. It's a matter that the local police are looking into. “The screws were also stuck to the pavement and it's not clear whether they had been put there deliberately. I'm not going to speculate about it, it's a matter for the local police, but I can say they had nothing to do with the crash.”
Swampy442
Interesting. So speed was the main contributing factor....
Purity14
Interesting. So speed was the main contributing factor.... Less paperwork than a murder/manslaughter enquiry too id of thought.
Scott
Interesting. So speed was the main contributing factor.... Brakes being fooked was mentioned earlier. I would have thought with knowing the brakes weren't great that the driver would have kept within the boundaries of his, and the cars, abilities. If the plugs had nothing to do with the incident then it is shear stupidity that has caused this accident.
Rob
Less paperwork than a murder/manslaughter enquiry too id of thought. If there were no punctures, then there were no punctures. Its not some cover-up by the police to save them work. Murder was never on the cards, its totally unprovable on every level. Sheer stupidity is about right, and he and his friends have paid for it. Chris Wilson
How old was the driver? I had a barney with someone only the other day when I found out he'd allowed his 18 year son to buy a souped up RX-7. The lad was a menace in a FWD little Renault, letting him have the Mazda is tantamount to giving a 3 year old some bleach to play with. The engine wont last long enough to be a menace if he drives like a tit, he will probably thrash it from cold lol.
