Carl
Surely something like that would be stuck in the tyre or at very least bent over from the car weight. This doesnt look like it was touched unless youi mean there were more than one like this?

I get the impression that there were more than one. its just the thought that someone has gone to the trouble to stick them to the road! JustGav
From reading the thread, it appears that the road was often used to bomb up and down....that said glue-ing nails is a NASTY NASTY way to do things. I suspect the person who did it will be sat thinking 'WTF have I done...'

Dash Rendar
One can only hope the scum that did this can be found and duly executed.
Thorin
Well he was undoubtedly exceeding the speed limit, but gluing nails to the road makes it manslaughter. I hope the police have some leads as to who did it. Nothing in the newspapers about this?
James
Just read through the whole of the thread - that's tragic.

nevins
In my view, its more than man slaughter, the person who done it must have known the speeds that the vehicles do along there, and there fore knew an accident would happen. So I would say that its premeditated murder due to the person took their time to glue them in place and wait for a car to hit them. Just my opinion so don't flame me for it. nevins
No flaming necessary. I agree with you. Cool, that was planned and no accident, I hope the person who done, has a guilty conscience and hands them selves in and they get locked up for life, although good behaviour would see that as 7 and a half years nowa days. bigbloodyturbo
Thats a bloody disgrace, its obvious the guy was shifting judging by the mess of his car but mastik'ing nails to the road?!?! Straight up murder that is. Reminds me of the time farmers used to drop diesel on country roads because they thought it would deter people from speeding on them, total madness. Makes you think about the intelligence of some people out there, what if it had of been a mum with her kid in the back. Totally indiscriminate. Stonkin
What an awful thread that is. RIP to the driver and hope the other 2 lads recover ok
Havard
Shocking thread. Looks like someone who wanted to stop the street racing by slashing a few tyres now has blood on there hands. I doubt that the police will do anything about this in reality. In the end, all parties are criminals IMO...!! That said, no one has the right to "play god" with peoples lives and I hope that they are caught and properly dealt with. H.
Purity14
If an adult attempted to do this, he would have used L shaped double ended nails, welded together. Looks like kids have done it for a 'laugh' tbh... they will now feel the guilt for the rest of their lives.
Stonkin
I cant believe kids would even be slightly interested in doing something like this
jonathanc
Just read the whole thread as well. Although I don't agree with street racing but the heartless person that put the nail there should be executed! Taking peoples' lives is not a way to solve any problem!!! RIP to the driver and my prayers to the other survivors.
