Supra_Squaddie
Just thought I'd show off my hard work from today. For any novices out there like me this is a pretty easy job to start off with! Before... During... After... Pretty good day altogether!

Supra_Squaddie
Cheers guys, so glad I discovered this forum, otherwise I'd have either forked out for new lights, or had crap looking ones for the rest of my days!
Supranature
Wait till you split them in the oven and do the insides. Just done a spare set using varying grades of wet n dry, then a machine polish with jewellers rouge, then spray the inserts. They look better than new. Yours are vastly improved, although they will need doing again frequently. I would compound them at every wash.

Supra_Squaddie
Oooo i like it! i call veilside skirts and a stock wing + new rims:D Yes mate the skirts are at the very top of my list of priorities! Closely followed by new rims, new front end and eventually a new rear wing (Was thinking about GT carbon one though)
evinX
Keep the veilside front, it dosent look bad, just the plate makes it look odd, relocate it?

This is the reason I put this thread up, to give people confidence, as I am relatively inexperienced with things like this. So if I can do it, anyone can! Supra_Squaddie
Keep the veilside front, it dosent look bad, just the plate makes it look odd, relocate it? Will it affect air flow to the radiator if I put it underneath? I'm off to Germany soon so I'm putting a German metal one on once I'm there, I think they're a bit smaller than UK ones. scotty71
what sealant did you use to reseal them? masking the rings is a bit of a PITA but its not a bad job... people dont like the oven bit but I found just the right temp for me
Supra_Squaddie
I just reheated the sealant that was on there, then went around it after with a bead of silicone. Fingers crossed that should be enough, hasn't rained yet though!
Suprab1
What temp was your oven at & how long did you leave them in? Also do you need special paint for inside the lights. Sorry i've searched for a how to guide as i thought i had read one before but cant find any.
