Long weekend in London. Help please

Hi all,

 

It's my girlfriends birthday coming up in October and I want to take her away for a long weekend in London. What to do the tourist thing see a show (oliver) and go on the London eye. Where is the best place to stay? Budget is about £200 per night ish for the hotel will go a bit more if I need to.

 

Found the Hilton at tower bridge looks nice what do you guys think?

 

Also when are the Christmas turned on? As my girlfriend loves lights.

 

We will be arriving by train so the hotel does not need to have a car park.

I guess they go up early December (might even be late November). Trafalgar Square, Regent Street, Oxford Street, maybe Piccadilly are probably the main displays.
