Supra_Squaddie
Hi, just thought I'd show everyone my first attempt at polishing engine parts. This is my HKS induction pipe and it was looking a bit old so I thought I'd give it a going over with a mouse sander first of all, and then some wet and dry paper, finishing off with some rubbing compound and some metal polish. It's nowhere near as good as it could be but getting it to this stage alone took about 3 hours and my hand started going numb after that! http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab111/9670black/polishing%20engine%20parts/IMG00866.jpg[img]

[img]http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab111/9670black/polishing%20engine%20parts/IMG00867.jpg Hope to do more parts when I have more time/strength in my arms! Terminator
Great result. Do your engine internals a favour and ditch the HKS air filter, (very loose term), they really are that bad.

Is the stock one definitely the best choice? even with an aftermarket exhaust system on?
Terminator
wow! Is the stock one definitely the best choice? even with an aftermarket exhaust system on? Yes stock is far better, only draws in air at ambient temperatures too so double bonus, regardless of exhaust choice.
