New uk spec headlights have condensation inside??

Just fitted my new set of glass headlights today, after washing the car this evening it started to get cold and foggy and both headlights have condensation in the bottom corners infront of the main beam area.

I would assume this isn't normal?

Not normal unless they are like 10 years old with a small hole in them. Mine were & are fine since I got them new.

As Pete advised, give them a couple of days and again also check the bulbs for any holes/gaps.

toyota have had a problem with these in the last year or so...i would say 60% of them ive had do the same...apparently something to do with a supplier who now make them....ive had some changed over from them and they are the same!

i put it down to poss the sealant they use to seal the glass to the backing...

How annoying would that be, I would take them back !

have done....fitted them, washed the car...clouded up again! i tested a set and put extra sealant around the light and that worked so i put it down to poor sealant they use or not enough coverage?

What is the best sealant to use?

Do you have to split them to reseal them?

Check the bulb are seated correctly and have a good seal.

I thought the bulbs were behind glass lenses that are seperate to the main headlamp area where the condensation forms ?

I'd take them back and telll them you want a new pair, their hardly cheap are they.

I did speak to him but would have to buy a new set then return the others and wait for money to be returned. My car came of the road at the end of August and won't be out again until april, so Will wait until I wash it to see if they do it again and change them as it will still be within the year warranty.
