Neil-NA
I have it set up on easy medium TC, no abs and manual gears but i still spin once a lap and thats in the dry. I'm finding it hard to learn the circuits, back to forza methinks lol.

Whitesupraboy2
Hopefully enough people on here we can get some racing going. Im on wheel with absolutely no assists at all and it is hard, main problem for me is lack of feedback on locked wheels but im getting some good times now and as long as im not punted on first corner win most of my online races. Stick with it, its worth it, first 2 days I thought ill never get the hang of this!
Neil-NA
It is chuffing hard. Cant get used to having to select tyre compund whilst trying to go flat out, it was fun doing Melbourne in the wet on the option tyre, 1st to last in less than 2 mins
Whitesupraboy2
I struggle keeping my tyres ok for the race, even on line by the last lap my tyres are shot and the rears are red, if im in control and concentrating ill keep laptimes respectable, if im not i play lets do doughnuts at every corner. Spins are so hard to catch but ive caught a few, majority ive spun
Angarak
Do you PC guys know about the faulty ABS aid, whereby if you set it to OFF in the garage it will set itself to ON (despite showing OFF) when you drive onto the track? You have to set it to ON and then to OFF whilst on the track, then you'll have no ABS aid and you'll be able to lock up your tyres if you brake too hard (for those who want realism). JamesC
I haven't had that problem, although i might have turned it off after when i found out some of the aids were on. Does anyone else suffer from loads of punctures? I suffered from 2 within 3 laps so i turned the tyre wear off, only to find you still get punctures - not as many though! I have all the aids off apart from the dynamic racing line in the corners (and the tyre wear now!). When i learn the tracks i might take the racing line off too! Just finished my first season with Force India and now i'm with Mercedes
Lee_e
I genrally think its an awesome game, more so online Played it for the first time last night and literally couldnt put the controller down for 3 -4 hours, driving with corner line only, abs off, brake assist off, Auto tranny , T/C medium and tyre wear on. was really hard to get into at first but after 2 races in getting pole position with ease, might have to up the difficulty a bit. online however was pretty dam good, Not knowing how good your opponent is and what he will do in corners etc is awesome, no lag at all on the 360 live, The only downer i have against it is... They could have gone into more depth with the career mode i.e training , better interviews and on the track interviews ( like bbc ) commentators wouldnt go a miss... and my pet hate about online, EVERYBODY just smashes into you on the first bend if your not on pole Think it would be good to have some forum races soon, very entertaining. Neil-NA
I ended up turning it off and going back to Forza Its a cracking game just finding it hard to learn the circuits. Anyone with the xbox version know an easier way to choose tyre compund whilst driving? only way i can see to do it is removing my finger from the steering and changing it then back on to steering which cause mucho crashes. Whitesupraboy2
you memorise the commands... I always turn engine up up > up > up and when damage wing give myself more aero right > right > up you just learn it as for tracks, just stick yourself on melbourne or montreal and go in time trial mdoe your own ghose will help you. Once you work out how the cars will handle then it becomes easier. I stuck to rule of until the car is straight no more then quarter throttle, now im pushing it more and more and onlien still spin alot when pushing hard. did monaco in wet last night...hello barrier
Neil-NA
I dont see how i can change the settings without losing steering though going from the left stick to d-pad, will have a go next tuesday when im off again. I just went straight into career, maybe i should just practice lol. Hope it doesnt take me a year to suss out like forza did
TLicense
So on the xbox you can change the engine and aero? Not sure how I do that on the PC. (Digital download, so no useful user manual) Also, I think it may be possible for xbox and PC users to play online against each other. Yesterday a friend of mine who plays on the xbox sent me a game invite via windows live. I was in the middle of a practice session so ignored it, but I never realised that it may be possible. Lastly, is it as easy on the xbox as it is on the PC? Yesterday I managed to qualify 11th at Bahrain in the Lotus with all the settings set as hard as possible. Now I'm either a legend when it comes to driving an F1 car (unlikely) or the Lotus is slightly more competetive in the game than it is in real life.
