martini
Last night I received confirmation that I'll be getting my first [real] job, starting in January 2011. It's at the University of Tokyo, where I will be a research fellow, continuing my work on Global Climate Change. To say I am excited is an understatement! EDIT: My girlfriend also got a job in Tokyo! Btw - this has been bugging me for ages, but what's the difference between global warming and climate change???

dangerous brain
Uh how does that work? You are a global warming researcher that has a gas guzzler? Or are you working for our team lol.
martini
Thanks for everyone's kind words I won't quote everyone because it'll take up lots of page space! Thanks so much though, it really means a lot guys. Btw - this has been bugging me for ages, but what's the difference between global warming and climate change??? I'm currently writing my thesis at the moment, but I plan on making a thread on the whole topic where I can answer some questions. Being as it's a politically sensitive subject, the press spin things depending on their angle. well done martini. So you can join me in the world of research. Glad you got what you wanted. Thanks dude Whoa! Double grats then! Well you can still enjoy the food and culture! It's madness down in Tokyo you will like it! I've been a few times and loved it - can't wait to live there! I speak a bit so that should help. Uh how does that work? You are a global warming researcher that has a gas guzzler? Or are you working for our team lol. I am a car enthusiast at heart and always have been. I've loved the sound of motor racing for as long as I can remember! Main point being, I am a researcher, not a tree hugger I'll report what the science says - I make no sweeping statements on how people should live their lives and have no political agenda. The Earth's system is so complex, that nations as a whole need to get together to solve these issues - if all Supras were destroyed then it would be a drop in the ocean of CO2 P.S. I'll be at SantaPod if anyone has any further questions - seems like an ideal place to discuss the topic
Lbm
Many congratulations. Sounds very exciting - the old international relocation thing. Pics of course please when you're out there, of anything quite frankly, not just cars and the ladies

I'll also be able to get some parts and things for people no doubt I'm sure Jurgen would arrange shipping at a decent cost.
