Suprab1
Hi folks, My friend has a 03 VW Passat & in the last 6 month it has got very smokey (black smoke) under hard acceleration. It never used to do it like this, when you look in the mirror all you see is smoke. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks, Rab

Guest ugp
Dont suppose he's got one of them cheap tuning chips on it? If they fail you'll get lots of smoke from overfueling. Mine did.
Tom S
is there any shaking as well. I had a 55 plate, and the error was the fuel injectors which go often. If so can be expensive to fix Sorry
Evil_Nuts
My bro had a Golf GTITDi chipped and it smoked like an ass, no loss of power or anything, I put an air flow meter on it and the smoke dissappeared.
