SupraDan24
I've received an email today from a guy in Germany who said he wants to bid on my car on Ebay, he sent me this "Before i can bid i have to check some data for the vehicle registration in germany - there i´am from. I need a simple datasheet from your car with the following datas: vehicle number (CN9P-...), day of the first registration, weight, motorcode, dimensions. If you like, you can send me an copy of your vehicle title document/datasheet." Does anyone know what he's asking for or if it sounds dodgy. Thanks Dan
Guigsy
think they need it so they can check they can register it before buying. im sure someone who knows more will post
Attero
Well I don't think he's asking of anything that can be used to his advantage illegally. I assume it's all for import purposes. I assume the vehicle title document is the V5. Which you shouldn't send.
SupraDan24
Does the V5 contain all that info ie weight and dims?? I better go dig it out and have a butchers. I've never heard of a motorcode either :S Hopefully one of our importers will see the thread.

Guigsy
Think he just means the V5. Dont send that him though. just a copy. IIRC it does have the weight and dimentions axel type, bodystyle etc on it. Or at least mine does. (some of them at least)
tbourner
Scan the V5 and copy the part of the image that has the data on it, so he can't make a quick copy of all the info (address etc.). Not sure what he could do if he did copy it, but better safe...
