msupra
Hi guys, hopefully this is the right section to get my answer. I will buy buying a new set of rims and rubber very soon. front: 18x8.5 +30 offset rear: 18x10 +25 offset My concern is about the rear due to the pretty high offset, but this is the look I'm going for (aggresive). If I did 275 tires in the rear I was told my fenders may need to be rolled? what about if I did 265 in the rear? and for the front should 235 or 245 be good? the front tire profile will be 40, rear 35. btw, my Supra is a 1993.5 NA 5-spd. here's a picture of it now, I want to keep it the same height when I get the new wheels because the fitment should be good. I'm selling these because they are ONLY 7.5" all around, not good for a sup. cheeers! martini
That's one hell of a bodykit. Edited August 9, 2010 by martini OP edited out photo of a Ferrari and replaced it with one of a supra. (see edit history)
Supra Gaz
Hi mate, I run 245 fronts (which DL wide fenders) and 275 rears with 10mm spacers on 19" rims and they fill the arches nicely, the height is 35 front and 30 rear. grip is superb as well Ps stunning car Edited August 9, 2010 by Supra Gaz Nice car (see edit history)
msupra
thanks! the side skirts are top secret, I will also be buying a top secret front bumper after I get new wheels. but aside from the wheels, my main concern is will +25 offset and 10" rim fit on a stock body? becuase I would rather not have my fenders rolled, if I put 265 tires would that work? Jamesy
The rears will just about fit mate, might need to roll the inner arch
msupra
they'll just about fit on 275 tires you mean? or 265? I've asked a few other Supra people and none of them were 100% sure becuase high offset like this on Supra isn't very common that I know of. thanks again. Nic
What wheels are you fitting? What brakes do you have fitted - the larger 4pot front/2pot rear or the smaller 2pot front/1pot rear? front: 18x8.5 +30 offset - you may need to get the arches rolled rear: 18x10 +25 offset - you definitely will need to get the arches rolled
msupra
The rims are XXR 521 which look like this: http://www.scsinternationalinc.com/ebaypics/52188142N_GAL.jpg They are deep dish style rims. XXR has pretty good quality rims for the price, and right now I need money for other things aside from cars which is why I'm going with a lower-end brand. how much rolling do you think will be required in the rear? just a little bit? I'll be buying them in two days.
supra steveo
i got a set of 285s on a 18x10J rim fitted nicely too , 8.5J i would go for the 235s
Nic
how much rolling do you think will be required in the rear? just a little bit? These are 18x10 +32 with the arches rolled, the wheels you are considering will sit 7mm further out towards the wheel arch.
msupra
damn... that's going to be a tight fit. I think I'm gonna do it, it should look pretty good once it's all done.
msupra
which ones do you guys think look best? Just looking for some opinions that's all... I personally am a fan of the black with chrome lip look. 1. black with chrome lip http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/3346/98122881.jpg 2. gold with chrome lip http://img44.imageshack.us/img44/650/21014674.jpg 3. grey/silver with chrome lip http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/6300/71909901.jpg 4. matte black http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/4949/83729649.jpg

dangerous brain
These are 18x10 +32 with the arches rolled, the wheels you are considering will sit 7mm further out towards the wheel arch. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/vbpgimage.php?do=full&p=744&d=1134501037 So the wheels he is going to buy will stick out by about 3/4 inch then? That'll look daft from any angle other than straight side on.

Supratom
sorry to jump in, i was searching as im about to buy some new wheels and have a choice of two different offsets advertise like this says offset 35 then this 2 X 8.5 X 18 ET32 ( FRONTS ) 2 X 235/40/18 TYRES ( FRONTS ) + 2 X 9.5 X 18 ET35 ( REARS ) 2 X 265/35/18 TYRES ( REARS ) or offset 32 2 X 8.5X18 ( FRONTS ) 2 X 235/40/18 ( FRONTS ) + 2 X 9.5X18 ( REARS ) 2 X 265/35/18 TYRES ( REARS ) so basically, which will fit best? and will i need archers rolling? cheers
Luxluc
I would go for black with chrome lip.
msupra
thanks for all the opinions on the rims I would go for black with chrome lip. yeah these are actually on top of my list. I will most likely get these, the rims are deep dish so I think chrome lip will look good instead of all out black.

msupra
Ordered a set of those rims today, black with chrome, can't wait to get them on the car. I have another request, this question is coming from a friend of mine. 18x8.5 front with +20 offset 18x9.5 rear with +25 offset basically how will these rims fit? will the fronts be fine? what the back?
Nic
18x8.5 front with +20 offset 18x9.5 rear with +25 offset EDIT: The fronts will sit 3.5mm further out towards the arches compared to this pic, the rears will sit 2.5mm further in away from the arches compared to the pic I posted previously. The front and rear arches will need rolling to prevent rubbing. Edited August 17, 2010 by Nic (see edit history)
