I quick scope all the time but i dont have auto aim. I like to quick scope, it's satisfying when you pull of a good one

It's an annoying glitch that spoils the differentiation and advantages / disadvantages between using different weapons. Would you accept the inclusion of a gun into the next COD game that did everything so that’s the only one you would ever need? A combined pistol, grenade launcher, sniper rifle, rocket launcher, machine gun, assault rifle and shotgun in one? No you wouldn’t, because it would spoil game play, which is what this glitch does in MW2

Handbag away mate, i only said that i like to quick scope, and didnt like explosives in the game. If we all played exactly the same and used the same weapons it'd be pretty shit dont you think. Each to there own mate.

I have no handbag out mate, I'm just discussing it with you :)

Obviously you understand where I'm coming from, which is why this 'quick sniping' or whatever it's called spoils the quality of MW2 and needs to be removed for Black Ops.

Felt more like you were forcing your opinion across. I can see where your coming from, i dont like cheating full stop or having an unfair advantage, but i also dont like the fact that you can simply run up to the headquarters, switch to a rocket launcher and fire it in and get easy kills. IMO i think they should take the game back to its bare bones, or at least have a bare bones release where there's no stupid perks and its more realistic ie. No shotguns that can shoot you from 100 yards, ppl running about that can stab you from across the map or Snipers switching to akimbo shot guns whenever you get within 20 yards of them. I'd prefer a game that was a bit more realisitc, maybe even one with a game mode that required set classes ie Sniper/Handgun option.

I take it auto-aim can't be turned off? It annoys the hell out of me as when your following a guy who's running behind a wall and another guy runs in the opposite direction behind him, it drags the crosshairs of your target, usually just as your about to kill him. Major pain in the arse as sniping is handy when the other team starts holding up in a specific area and defending (and usually getting killstreks making it hard to get in there to them) and they're always running about causing auto-aim to draw you to another target momentarilly.

What? auto aim? turned off? I need it turned on! I seem to spray bullets everywhere and empty entire mags and still miss everyone... Think my highest kill streak is about 4!!!:(

Perhaps you're being a bit touchy, but that's what happens online with the absence of body language. I agree with most of the points you raised, but then again, the FPS has to evolve somehow otherwise it would be the same thing over and over – which is why I said maybe I’m already bored of Black Opps.

I hear you. It boils my blood when im about to kill someone and my aim gets dragged away because another enemy has run past him.

Auto aim can be turned off i believe.

Ozz, the auto aim is mostly always really subtle to make up for the lack of accuracy a controller affords but in the above scenario it just seems to go into overdrive. It doesn't happen a lot mind you.

in reality the auto aim on the consoles is only there to try and even up the pin point accuracy the pc's offer with mouse keyboard combination but in doing so it has been noted that hinders more then helps for a great many people it makes you wonder why the console makers dont make mouse keyboards for their relevent machines i can guarantee it would kill off a great many pc users

You can get adapters that allow you to use a PC mouse/keyboard on consoles, though they can be pricey and Im not sure if there are some restrictions on which keys are supported in games.

Personally, I dont think consoles are suited to FPS games, lower graphic detail, larger hit boxes (to balance out controller response/accuracy issues), paid for DLC, auto-aim to hold your hand while you play...not as challenging/rewarding as playing on a PC.

Microsoft had a cross-platform beta FPS programme a while back that supported cross-platform multiplayer. The PC players laid waste to their console rivals, not necessarily because they where better players, but purely because the PC had better more responsive/accurate input devices....needless to say Microsoft put that project to bed.

The good news about COD: Black Ops is that they have confirmed dedicated servers on the PC, but only through a single game service provider (GSP) so far, so its not looking likely that there will be any community server-side-mods which would seem to suggest they are following the paid-for-DLC path to new content on the PC (console users wont be suprised by this as they bend over and take it without a whimper). :p

Someone earlier mention they'd prefer a more realistic FPS, if you want a realistic milsim, get a good PC and get Arma 2/Arma2 Operation Arrowhead, forget about Operation Flashpoint DragonFailing, it is utter crap and no closer to being a milsim than mario cart (also the latest patch on the PC can cause your graphic card to fail). If you want a realistic counter-terrorism game, go for Rainbow Six: Ravenshield (with the Iron Wrath expansion pack) - an old game, but a classic with no rival to date.

Oh man I can't wait for this!!! The customisation options are brilliant and there really is no limit to what you can create. It is a double-edged sword though because you're bound to get kids creating phallus-life emblems etc but cool regardless!

Not long to go now!
