Guest Illah
So I just got an all stock 1994 TT and plan to basically keep it that way, save for wheels and fixing up the stereo a bit. Not looking for a tuned out monster, more of a fun weekend car. Did a bunch of reading on the merits of wheel size, weight, and super low profile tires, etc, and seem to think 18" rims are a good compromise of looks and avoid the pitfalls of super low profile tires on 19" rims. So, I really like the look of TSW Snettertons (pictured below on a Lexus) but hear very mixed reviews of TSW...heavy, soft, etc. Now realize I have no intention of racing or even driving the car very hard, but the nerd in me doesn't want to hurt accelleration if I don't have to. Right now I'm riding the factory 17" rims original to the car, what kind of weight difference would I be looking at with 18" Snettertons? --Illah
Josh
Got a picture of your car? Someone might be able to photoshop a couple of options for you
Guest Illah
Will have one tonight - Photoshopping is my plan ;-) I'm actually a web guy by day so I can handle the shopping myself, but I'm more worried about whether the rumors on TSW wheels being like 30+ pounds are true. And how much it *really* matters for a car that isn't going to be burning rubber on a track. It's an anthracite 1994 TT MKIV though, bone stock, including the old ass wheels :-) --Illah
