Wales Mini Trip

Just thought I’d share a few mediocre pictures with you of our recent long weekend to Mid Wales.

It was a great trip…

I went with Mr T (Andy) and Jaymdee (Jon) and we left early Friday and spend Friday, Saturday and Sunday blatting round every road in the area, I think I remember Andy saying on our return it was about 650 miles.

The roads were great, especially on Friday when it was a bit quieter.

We spent most of the time on decent A roads which were fast and flowing although slow when we came upon other traffic or on the thousand sheep road !

Added to this we also did some tours up in the hills and round a couple of reservoirs on tiny roads with passing places, that’s when Jon went into what I’m sure he would have called “Rally mode” but I called “Death Wish 3” mode - great fun following :D

We found a brilliant 11 mile road (called Mountain Road) that I was told Top Gear use for filming sometimes. It’s got great bends with no fences and big drops on one side and moorland the other and goes through West Brecon Hills.

We did it about five times :eyebrows:

We had some quick blats down the A465 and big fun when we came across a big bike ride-out and the leading four or five wanted to race (thems are naughty boys thems biker dudes are) with Jon and me chickening out *** and leaving Andy to show the guys what a Supe could do

Stayed at a lovely old farmhouse B&B so started off the day with a great breakfast.

Loads of speed camera signs everywhere but hardly any fixed cameras and we only saw one camera van (it’s the ones I didn’t see that scare me pooless) and hardly any police peoples.

We did tae some vids as well and I’ll put a link up when I edit the hours & hours footage down to a sensible size.

Thanks chaps - great weekend.

So, do you want an invite next time then ?

Re meeting the locals, I did think about it, but as usual, left it to late to post up something.
