Right Gents and Ladies,

I just sent PM to StrefaZero.org moderators about Brits interested in visiting Zone. There is trip organised at 21-27 September, which i'm planning to attend. I know Ric from this forum is ready to go there, anyone else? I'm asking now, as I would need to register us as group to make it easier from moneywise side. I want people who are 100% into this trip as I'm quite busy these days :) Price as for today is 1150 PLN which equals to around 250 pounds. Transport, bed and food mentioned in plan is inclusive.

Here's full plan translated by me some time ago, only small change is that trains to Zone leaving earlier so we would have an hour or so more to roam around Pripyat.

I would have signed up if I was working but im not & I cannot guarantee I will have the money spare, I would love to visit this place and for £250 it would be well worth it. If things change then I will let you know as me and the Girlfriend would be up for it.

So all we would have to pay is flights to Kiev?

What would the all in cost (inc flights) be?

ive found flights from Luton for 110 return, so 360 all in, then any spendos you might want for beer etc

i would have thought its fly to Warsaw too, not kiev :D

"50,000 people used to live here, now it's a ghost town." :)

I'd like to come but have only just come back from holiday so can't get anymore time off.

So 250 for a week inclusive? Obvilously excluding flights and 'social' cash :D Ill have to see what the leave situation is like

Kiev Shmiev.....Doh!!!

get yourself there, im twitching im that excited

Interesting...I've looked at the plan - what are the 'nights' like? As in entertainment, clubs, bars etc...

There is 4 clubs in Slavutych, girls are fit, beer is cheap.

Kiev is like any other european capital so access to everything for reasonable price :)

Got an answer from moderators of StrefaZero, they said they have no problem with accepting UK citizens this time, visas will be assigned. I'll PM interested people in a few days time to get some info required for registration and insurance purposes. Be quick as there is no many spaces left :)

Aaand another teaser :) Janov station, from here all refuges was sent all over USSR.

Just popping it on the first page. I would like to remind you gents and ladies that it is highly possible that Zone will be no go place from 2012 as new sarkophag is built on the place of old one and probably some reconstructions in area will begin. I'm not sure if I will go there again after September trip either. As far as i know commercial trips takes only 1 day around Zone, 1.5h in Pripyat only - no chance to really see anything.
