Wyntersun
I was just wondering if this is road legal? Im sure it is but I want to just make sure. I have fitted a set of facelift indicators and i fitted amber sidelights into the indicator unit instead of normal clear ones. But I do still have normal side lights in the main headlights still. martini
Why have you done that?

Gaz6002
Doubt that's legal, as you've got a solid yellow light at the front of the car and that's only going to confuse other road users. Not 100% sure though. Do you like it? I'm not so sure...
Wyntersun
Thats my whole reason for asking, to find out.
RobD
Pretty sure that's illegal mate, just swap them for clear 501's!
martini
Why have I done what? Made your dipped lights orange. I know Americans have something similar with their cars, not sure about legalities here.
Gaz6002
Thats my whole reason for asking, to find out. It's a bit of an odd thought TBH dude... did you do it on purpose?

Wyntersun
Made your dipped lights orange. I know Americans have something similar with their cars, not sure about legalities here. It's the side lights only, not dipped lights.
martini
It's the side lights only, not dipped lights. OK Why did you make your sidelights orange?
Wyntersun
I did it to see what it looks like, as I know side markers are orange, but I know they are more on the side of the front arch. Just thought I would see what this would look like, but seems like I should put normal clear 501's in them instead. Don't know unless you try I guess, but seems it wasnt a good one Is it stupid to the side lights in my indicators and in the headlights them selfs? Wyntersun
Because he couldnt be botherd to swap the amber bulbs that came with the kit for clear ones Why do they come with orange bulbs anyway?
Homer
Why do they come with orange bulbs anyway? Unless they are OEM the ebay sellers will assume you are retrofitting to a pre-facelift car where it's simplest to wire both lights up as indicators. That's what most people do anyway.
