he was lucky his head wasn't closer to the turbine.

it might have given him a headache.

I remember another one where a guy was sucked into the intake of a jump jet.

they dragged him out and he was in shock but unhurt (didn't kiss the blades obviously)

You can actually stand infront of an engine of a jet, you wont get sucked in, unless its on max throttle -

I work on Jaguar aircraft :D

I love the classic Jaguar shape. Looks like a cat about to jump sitting on the runway. Any idea why they moved the air to air missile pods ontop of the wing during the gulf war? Looked cool ;)

I was an "after thought" as the jag only has one pylon under the belly, so typically - use a paveway type bomb, on the wings, the two inboard pylons are for tanks, the outboard pylon are for ECM and Chaff... as a result the only means of self defence was its aden 30mm cannon. It was part of an upgrage few years back. But... as of april 2007, the jag will be no more.

Maybe it was max throttle, who knows, I've got the video where they poor sod is sucked in.

Pretty distressing it must have been...

yeah - fair enough I only stated that as I have stood infront of a jag/tornado/harrier.. i'm still here ;)

Stood next to a tornado, full throttle/reheat doing engine ground runs at night in the gulf - now, that is cooooool.....
