Tourniquet
Especially worth reading if you don't like the guy or have no oppinion either way. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/charles-thomson/one-of-the-most-shameful_b_610258.html
Wez
A long read but interesting, I have believed the media is out of control for years, another prime example was the fuel shortages, if the media had said nothing there wouldn't have been the rushes at the stations making the situation far worse. Tourniquet
I agree. I know it's long but I perservered and Im so glad I did. I did Media Studies at A-Level (effin waste of time lol) but I understand a fair bit of this kind of thing and I think it's truly disgusting. I hope people do take the time to read this because I think a lot of people have the wrong idea about him and it's such a shame. I guess those who don't enjoy his music or what ever might not overly care so would not see anything other than negative media reports ect but I think for this particular person a terrible wrong MUST be corrected. MrRalphMan
That was a good read, never thought that he did it, but what you read in the media seemed so damning. Nice to see the other side of things..
creative
.......... but I think for this particular person a terrible wrong MUST be corrected. It will never happen. I wasn't particularly a fan of Jacko and whilst I don't think he did the said crimes I do think he 'wasn't all there'. but as with all things... we will never know. Tourniquet
I agree unfortunately. Still define 'normal'. For celebs their loves are normal especially if you've been at it as long as some of them i.e Jackson, Liz Taylor and all the old school ones. The next gen of celebs I guess from reality shows are not the same yet look how it changes them - it just isn't right. Trial by media is bad as it is but this is just shameful. Scott
My AV flagged some dodgy code from the website.
Tourniquet
I just opened it ok mate. Try entering it in your browser maybe. Tis all cool, it's just a link direct to the article. It will take about 5 minutes to read but I think this should be in the curriculum or something lol
Scott
It was one of the ads on the page that caused the issue. My AV blocked it. Very good read that, always nice to see the other side of the coin. The guy had no childhoold, he was never going to be a normal guy. I don't think for one minute he did the terrible things he was accused of. It wasn't even a misunderstanding.... it was a deliberate witchhunt.
Havard
There was serious amounts of money to be gained by people with no morals. No surprise really was it..... Jacko was very naive to think he could surround himself with kids and for someone not to accuse him of ill doing. Shame really..!! H. Tourniquet
Agreed Havard but I guess he wouldn't have been wise to the ills of the world from his sort of sheltered or blinkered whatever the right word is, views of the 'real' world. To be fair, I don't think 'he' changed at all from when he ruled the world in what he was doing or how he was acting to the 90's when it changed - I think it's the world that changed and he was none the wiser. I mean, you can't even sit on Santa's lap because of noncin' bastids any more - wtf !!!! Those who aren't into his work - fair enough but I find the problem is people say oh I can't stand Michael Jackson ! fair enough, how come ? - oh he's a pervert !!! What about his work ? Oh that's amzing ! - HUH wtf !!!!! Beware - my next project is to show the world the light that there is good music and bad music - the only options lol. Regardless of artist or genre. Got my mum into Corey Taylor and she's like 104 !! Check me !
Branners
My AV flagged some dodgy code from the website. when I hit the site it went to download some Office2003 elements for some reason or other. So I stopped it before it got too far.

jonathanc
hmmm a bit worried now Spent some time reading that but my AV never flagged anything I didn't know adverts can infect you even if you don't click on them!
stevie_b
Sometimes the media (especially newspaper journalists, and especially tabloid populist ones) make me sick. The Sun (Britain's most popular newspaper, so a lot of Britons probably form their opinions based on what they read in it) gets several mentions in the article for all the wrong reasons. For all of you who read The Sun, pause for a moment next time you read an article in the paper: are you getting a balanced view of what's going on? Other newspapers are nearly as bad. Even the broadsheets put huge spin on the stories the write.
Supra Gaz
Good read, good news is no news as the saying goes. Despite his money and fame I always felt a bit sorry for the guy, he had a hard life. Personnaly I will remember him for his music, not the rubbish in the media
Tourniquet
There's three great songs he did back at them. Leave Me Alone from Bad, Tabloid Junkie on HIStory and Privacy on Invincible. It's good the world seems to have forgiven and forgotten so to speak since his death but I still feel there's too many educated by the media who should have the blinkers removed. I always thought the forum was anti Jackson after some slaggings I've read on hence the post here but maybe Im wrong.

sdistc
Good link. Unfortunately, the only people whose opinions seem to matter in this world are the ones who believe everything they see in the press without critically evaluating the subject matter.
