Wez
Hey All, Does anyone know the dimensions of the stock fuel tank? Some pics showing the stock fuel tank removal would also be great. Thanks

Andy Blyth
Hi Wez Were there any particular dimensions you were interested in? I have my tank on the floor at the moment and can take some measurements for you.
Wez
Wow, its fapping huge Can you measure across at its widest point, its deepest point, width etc, if you could it would be great if you could weigh it as well. Dont suppose if you fancy taking a series of pics or doing a little HowTo on removing and installing. Top stuff
Chris Wilson
Moulded "plastic" OE tanks take some beating, as they are made at vast development cost to sit low, maximise available space, and are usually fairly well within the wheelbase. It's very easy to buy a smaller tank that raises the C og G and sits less well within the WB, and costs a fortune.
paul mac
dont know where this is going but having looked at mine without the rear seats a tank could be formed into the 2 seat wells with a pump in each well, it would put the tank lower than stock and bring it inboard of the rear axle, i was going to look at making it my next project after project ITB was finished , what are your intentions Wez

paul mac
Would that arrangement require a firewall installation to pass the MOT Paul? no idea mate, as i was still in the R & D stage, good point and that may well be the end of that if your correct
pedrosixfour
I know a firewall is required by the motorsports governing bodies if the fuel cell is moved from the outside of the car. From what I know about the concept of a firewall the Supra design makes that a pretty big job.
