markylee
That's exactly what I've been trying to say, I also think that intercoms should be banned, let the drivers feel alone, let them decide what to do, I mean do the drivers actually even drive the cars anymore or are they just told how to drive and then have a load of electronics to do half there job. If only Formula 1 was like it was back in the 70's/80's, it's just soooooooo boring now, and then when someone gets cut up in a corner people start moaning and then all this points system bo11ocks comes into play meaning they can't even push for the lead and the only people that can win due to this are the ones that seem to be driving Miss Daisy. Give them a car, let them race and see the magic come back into F1........... p.s. We need more drivers like Schumacher, one's that show a true desire to win and aren't more interested in keeping there hair nice than actually racing.[/quote Both of you are spot on
marc_p
You's are all talking about Schumacher driving to win, but they were half way through the field. Were they even competing to get into the points when he done it? It was clearly just a bitter rivalry between two old team mates. Don't get me wrong. I'm all for the wheel to wheel racing and pushing the limits, but i for one don't want to see drivers getting pushed into the wall at 180+ mph on a regular basis. Getting passed the next car is the same as if it is for 12 place or 1st place, you still have to get past if you want to get up in the positions, also, Rubens does have a brake pedal, I'm sure he would of braked before he found himself in the wall, it's all a game of chicken. Tony
And this is exactly why I don't watch F1 anymore, F1 used to be great, now everyone just pussy foot's about and penalties are being given for every little thing, F1 has turned into possibly the most boring sport in the world, it used to be great and it's only people like Michael Schumacher that are in keeping to the true F1 style, that drive to win and really push it, most F1 drivers seem more bothered about there hair staying nice and having pretty graphics on there car. You have to mean pre-schuy ie: 70's 80's, wouldent dare crash into someone then you would kill them & proberly yourself & if walked away the other driver's would not be slow in telling you that it was your fault
