Exhaust and Brakes...

Hello guys,

I think I cracked my middle box today. .. London driving and speed bumps is not adviced for Supras esp Islington anti car council...

I think my middle box is ruined ... the car is a bit noisier ..(although it has the HKS Super Drager on), the middle box has some sort of material (Silencing) coming out of it.

Do I need a very expensive part to repair it??

Also my shacking steering is 99% down to the front disks ...shaking and can feel it on my pedal when I brake as well ... are black diamond recommended??? I had them once upon a time on my Cougar and they were brilliant.

Cheers guys ..

any prices for parts so I can get an idea are welcome.

It will cost a fortune to replace the whole lot :-S ... so better to go for the existing lot and replace only the disks.

I have had a quick look and a black diamond front disks grooved and drilled cost £170 for the pair.

Brake pads £35 for the pair. I have not done a big research just the first prices I came across.

I cannot find middle part of exhaust yet but I think I will do a better search tomorrow.

Chris? any ideas?

For the discs go with stock Toyota, for pads I would contact Chris Wilson.

You won't find a new Super Dragger mid pipe, you would need to buy a complete cat back exhaust. I would remove the mid pipe you have and get an exhaust place to fabricate a copy for you.

Thank you Steve will reply to you :)

Now I have attached some pics I am confused as to what calipers / disks I have ... (this is the annoying thing when buying a used car)

Can you please give me some guidance I assume they are the stock 2 piston calipers front and 1 piston calipers on the rear that the J Imports have.

However the previous owner has changed calipers all around for some reason I think they were seized ... but just to make sure he installed the J Spec and not the UK Spec.

Just to clarify one of those pics is the rear wheel. And they are 18" alloys

OK just came back from Kwikfit ... went there to have a better look at the exhaust.

The rear end has the problem it has 2 small holes, on the corners of the super drag pipe going to the back box. I suppose welding might solve this.

I think the Super Dragger is mild steel, they tend to rust/crack where the pipe meets the back box as yours has. Is it very rusty? If it is then it'll be impossible to weld. May be time for a complete new cat back exhaust

Confused a bit now ... as I have read on another post that the exhaust splits to two pipes after the 2nd cat and before the back box.

Mine does not split in two pipes after the 2nd cat and before the drager back box ... what short of exaust I have? is that an HKS mid pipe section what ever is called

Not very rusty as I have seen ... the 2 holes are only as big as the head of a needle.

Your Super Dragger is a complete cat back exhaust ie. everything from the cat backwards. Most aftermarket exhausts are a single pipe from the cat to the backbox as it's cheaper and easier to make and gives some performance gain. Like this
