Dodge
hi guys, sorry for the boring post. has anyone had problems with actual HID kits blowing headlight fuses? i have narrowed it down by checks and elimination, the problem is coming SOLELY from the after market HID kit and wiring, NOT including the bulb, which i tried on the other side. btw its the LEFT side not working. just trips fuses every time. tried the unit on the other side, does the same, its the actual HID kit itself for the left. i have only DIP BEAM HID lights. anyone had this problem? know how to repair HID kits? or should i just buy another one... maybe get 'auto electrix ' garage to take a peek? cheeeeeers in advance!! a98pmalcolm
its not a kit that connects to the bat is it? I have a direct plug and play one and its 100% fine.
Nic
It may be the HID ballast (the box) that's faulty, they tend to be sealed units so doubt it'll be possible or cost effective to fix.

Dodge
cool thanks guys, its not a battery connect, its a feed from old headlight plug, to starter, to ballast, to bulb. ill strip teh ballast and have a look for any signs of arching then. should i do the same with the starter just to be sure? cheers again guys
