evinX
Hi all, while the cars stripped down, i like the idea of having a kill switch for the supe, its immobilised, but id like something to kill the whole power to the car, id like it to work like this *Just parked up *Hit the kill switch *Lock the doors on my way out manually *Finished doing whatever *Open the door manually *Hit the kill switch back *De-alarm the car, ignition on and back to normal can this be done? Chris Wilson
Some FIA battery kill switches are armed and disarmed by a small push button, electronically. They are quite dear, I think wez bought one a bit ago. Demon Tweeks list some. Sounds an aggravating pain the arse to me, I can't even cope with alarms
evinX
Well so is my alarm and battery:D sometimes it just goes of and the battery dosent even go low, calcium one. So if im anywhere i wont have to be called out to a screaming alarm when nothings even happened. Making things stress free, apart from that the alarms great, love the way it locks itself to prevent being opened from the outside:D
nevins
So you got an alarm on te car but want a kill switch , which cuts all power and renders the alarm useless.
evinX
Yes, my alarms a PITA http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Motorsport/Electrical_Components/Battery_Isolators_&_Master_Switches/Autolec_FIA_Battery_Master_CutOut_Switch/1594/0/14928 i like that, would mount it near the dome light, and it wont be used all the time...only at home and work:)

nevins
Why not find out whats up with the alarm, do you have cats in your street as they love warm bonnets. This is a common problem with phantom alarm activation.

I think mine has a dodgy bonnet sensor as it only goes mental in windy or rainy weather
JustGav
I've installed a kill switch on the NA, BUT it is a bit overkill for a road car and involves cutting some BIG wires.

Richie1985
Why not just get a different alarm fitted? You can get ones that have a remote engine kill switch so if the thieving pikey tries to drive off you can cut then engine and lock him in till the police arrive.
