bigbloodyturbo
Does anyone have any experience of these? I've heard they chip well but I dont know anything about their reliability. I like the idea of the quattro and the nice interior but mainly what i'm looking for is good economy with the oomph of a larger diesel. Any input would be appreciated as i'm looking at selling the supra to get one in the near future.
jonathanc
I'm interested in knowing this as well. Looking for a decent diesel and 4WD certainly is a bonus during winter times!

I got stuck in snow in aberdeen so many times this year, it started to get so annoying. Audi quattro's seemed to be pulling away without so much as spinning a wheel! Have heard the 4wd affects the mpg though.

Don't know about that but I there would be slight affect on mpg as the engine have to drive 4 wheels instead of 2 If its a diesel should be negligible (sp) though. For saloons there are limited choices of 4wds (unless you are going Jap route). I heard the Saab 9-3 XWD is pretty good too but its a bit out of my budget One stigma I have about diesels is that is not comfortable to drive on the motorways but to be fair I've only driven one diesel which is the Renault 2.0 dCI. bigbloodyturbo
Yeah, there's a 4wd jag aswell (think its the x type) thats supposed to be pretty good but i sort of settled on the a4, mainly because of the quattro and the interior but if the reliability or the mpg isn't good enough i may just go the usual route and get a 330d, crap in the snow aswell though.
