djg99
Well after my engine started to make a loud knocking noise at the front end i thought i'd try to find the problem and I came across a few problems. So thought i'd rebuild the engine with a few upgrades and do some much needed bits to the bodywork to!!

JODY T
wiring loom should be easy all you got to do is unplug from the ecu in the pass foot well as well as a few others around that area and then you just pull it out from the engine bay.. You didnt take it off the engine and leave it in the car did you?

djg99
YES lol Guna need new rads too, there totaly gone but got new ones ready to go as soon as there in stock Had a day off from the engine and thought i'd tackle my yellow headlights they where both realy bad, did the left one first as per piture so see the difference. Only took half hour and think they came up quite well for only a couple of quid spent!! djg99
Spent the day on the engine today, after getting the pressure washer out and cleaning all the oil and crap off i set about take the engine apart. It seems that i've been lucky and not damaged the crank shaft, and the turbos seem ok, but need to have a closer look! some of the bottom end shells are a little worse for wear, but all will be replace allow with a lot of other parts. Now just need to do a detail clean of everything just to make sure all is well, any way here's a few more pics!!
absz
looking at the spun bearing i'll be suprised if the crankshaft is still good, the tolerance on the journals is very small before its scrap. good luck with the build
