Swampy442
Not advisable, its a damper as well as a pulley. Just stomach it and get a gen Toyota one
Nic
Fit a genuine Toyota crank pulley (Harmonic Balancer), they are properly weighted and balanced. Have a read HERE for full explanation.

dr_jekyll
while you have the crank pully off replace as much as you can afford to. if you pokets allow it its sensible to do the cam belt , crank seal and oil pump while its all off
Abz
Hi thanks for the reply would you say replace the belt to, and would you no how much for a gen crank pulley. Change items as suggested above. An I believe a new one from Mr T is just over £200 for the crank pulley.
caseys
Check with whifbitz. I'm sure they beat the Toyota price.

bigbloodyturbo
whifbitz are cheapest by a margin. Toyota where looking over £220 for one and I think that included my discount. Woudln't recommend a used one either, they seem to go quite randomly so you could buy a used one and it could go the same way a month or two down the line. Also, I think toyota modified the crank pulley, i seem to remember reading that somewhere.
