Would a Pre-facelift LSD Auto TT diff be ok with a v161 gearbox when doing a manual conversion? or would I need to replace the diff too. Not sure if the final drive gearing is different though on the auto, if it is then it will effect the gearing, hopefully someone will be along shortly to confirm. jimmenico Posted August 4, 2010 Share Posted August 4, 2010 I have also been digging around for info on diff/box variations for my 6-speed conversion. From what I understand, the diff you have would be fine (it is the smaller size casing?).
