More desirable - stock bonnet silver or carbon

I guess it just depends on who you are selling it to as everyone has different opinions on what looks good. Personally if I saw a Supra for sale with that bonnet I wouldn't even pick up the phone. Where as other people might see it and think "wow great".

I don't mean any offence by that, just trying to point out that it just depends on the buyers preference.

Oh really? I'm bored of the whole OEM look and quite like that bonnet. It works particularly well with a TRD widebody kit.

Yeah, I don't know what it is.... I just don't like them, I think the whole carbon bonnet thing is quite dated, if I had a carbon bonnet I'd paint it the same colour as the car. I think stock look is far better.

The rest of the car does look lovely though. Good luck with selling it :)

Yep as mentioned different people have different tastes.

Some like the car to look as it meant to from the factory, others like a chavvy fast and furious look (no offence meant, just don't know the correct terminology for it), and others like a racing style look.

Personally I have similar view to kill1308, I wouldn't entertain the idea of buying something that had carbon attachments unless it was a dedicated race car.

BUT as mentioned, it all depends on the potential buyers point of view.

Those black&chrome wheels do suit the car.

We could all tell you what we think looks better, but that isn't going to matter. I'd say it's 50 / 50 as you never know who's going to be looking.

If I were you I'd certainly not go to any expense until I've at least tried to sale with the Carbon Bonnet. If it doesn't shift with it on, then perhaps go back to stock :)

Advertise it with the option of having a stock bonnet fitted, you could also do 2 pics, one as it is and one stock then you'll not miss a buyer due to them not liking the bonnet !

Offer it as an option in the "for sale" - save the effort until you actually have to do something. I bet someone would have your arm off if you offered a straight swap for thast bonnet.

Great ideas! I Think thats what i'll do. :eyebrows:

Advertise it as an "option".

I recently had the silver bumper sprayed to get rid of stone chips but without the black section. After a few weeks decided it looked sparse so put in the black section back on. I've also had it done to the new Supra as its grown on me. I like the carbon look although I admit, its dated,... but the new car is staying stock bonnet and white.

Think that bonnet is lovely and your car is very tidy Ed so doesn't look out of place.

As mentioned you could give an option of 2 but as a buyer I would maybe use it as a haggling point (saying I don't like it :p)

& then after the sale, sell the lovely bonnet for a standard one. They are worth a fair bit of money.
