mellonman
people just want to check how much damage i am doing to my turbos i have a apexi avcr set at 1.15 boost but when the auto box changes gear i get over boost of 1.35 for that second while it changes gear so is there anyone in the know how to stop this over boost or at least tell me STOP YOUR KILLING THEM, sorry to say they are jspec so the 1.35 could do damage but how much if any for such a sort time
monsween
I could be wrong but while its changing gear there shouldn't be load on the turbo... As in no boost at all.
Stonkin
Isnt there an option on the avcr to adjust boost at certain rev points? Perhaps changing some settings on there around the 4k transition point. Are they called NE points? I'm sure someone will explain better than i can
mellonman
yeah there is this option , i was thinking it was boosting over at the 6000 rpm as i selects the new gear but it does make sence it being at the 4000 rpm as it engauges the gear it over boosts its hard to tell when flying up the road in a higher gear change if anyone has more info
Mcgoo
Not sure about the AVCR in particular, but on most EBC's usually spiking means the gain is set too high. Try reducing that.
