neo2810
Arrgghh... So I ripped my dash apart to try and replace the little bulb behind the aircon temp control only to find it's not the 286 type bulb I thought it was. It's a similar bulb but round at the bottom with longer conductor wires which then fit/wrap around the bulb holder so when fitted they make contact with the circuitboard. I didn't notice any in Halfords, but then I wasn't really looking for that type. Anyone know the part code for it? Also, I couldn't find exact replacement bulbs for my dead internal rooflights (12v 8W round) so I grabbed a similar type which are same fit but bigger bulb glass and 12v 5W. I fitted both and the driver side works fine but the passenger side immediately burned out (clouded over white inside the glass). Is that likely to be a dud bulb or should I not be fitting 5W bulbs where 8W bulbs should be (as I understand it, that's just the light intensity)? madwoody1
sounds to me like a dud bulb the w is the watts and is how much power it would put through the cabling i.e. 5 watts / 12volts = 0.4 of an amp 8 watts / 12volts = 0.66 of an amp The bulbs for the front indicator will be 7440 W21W (T20). The bulb for the side is 501 W5W. 2 x T5 LED fitment (one for dash, other for Ignition barrel light) 3 x T10 fitment LED's 5 x T4 for the heater control Low Beam Headlight Bulb Size: 9006 High Beam Headlamp Light Bulb Size: 9005 Parking Light Bulb Size: 168 Front Turn Signal Light Bulb Size: 1156 Rear Turn Signal Light Bulb Size: 1156 Tail Light Bulb Size: 1157 Stop Light Bulb Size: 1157 High Mount Stop Light Bulb Size: Assembly Fog/Driving Light Bulb Size: H3-55W License Plate Light Bulb Size: 168 Back Up Light Bulb Size: 1156 Front Side Marker Light Bulb Size: 194 Rear Sidemarker Light Bulb Size: 194 Glove Box Light Bulb Size: 37 or 74 Trunk/Cargo Area Light Bulb Size: 194 or DE3022 Instrument-General Light Bulb Size: 194 or 74 Edited August 2, 2010 by madwoody1 missed something (see edit history)
