The only reservation I have about this is the remote location.......I mean rounded/sheared bolts, or changing spark plugs and crap getting into the cylinders or the car just not running right after etc.......and you may be a long way from home.

There is also the liability issue, I mean if you come to bleed someones J spec brakes and the nipple snaps off will the owner accept a long AA trip home and buying a new caliper or will they blame the helper...........ie I believe it will lead to some ill feeling at some point. Whereas I have followed "how to's" on here and taken things steady and then asked for advice to check things etc and if I've made a mistake or damaged something well then i've no one else to blame and tbh you often learn more from these mistakes..........plus your car is still safely on the drive....

So I'd lean more to the information, advice, verbal how to's or say the 'teachers' demonstrating on their own car (or one specific members car) for people to take away what they have just seen/heard?

I like this Youtube channel idea. Could we have a mkivsupra.net youtube channel for techinical guides? I could take my laptop out to the car as a guide. Im up for some editing and filming but there are guys on here much better suited to this job. Just need somebody with some knowledge and willing to take the hits on here for talking and working on cam ;)

The only problem of doing it up at Pod, is that isn't really fair on some, as I'm sure they don't want to spend the day leaning over someone else's car.

This is true. Maybe we could get volunteers to do certain bits at certain times, e.g.

12:30 - Gav shows how to change the oil on an NA

13:30 - Graham shows how to check and change coolant on a TT

14:30 - Ed shows how to open the boot on his Supra

Yeah, I'd be okay with doing that :)

Thats a good point but i think things should be kept simple like not bleeding the brakes unless one of the tutors is happy do it on his/hers own cars or a good friends knowing nothing should sieze but showing how to change a set of pads would helpful to more people but with brakes unless you know you can do it right get someone to keep an eye on things until you have mastered it at a later date.

Was going to suggest that, but thought traders might get angry seeing such a thing.

If that was the case then wouldn't we need to remove all the tech articles on the forum?

Would it be possible for me to sit in the front row to watch this as I have a terrible time opening the boot, it never seems to work first time and it gets a bit embarrassing
