Did you not see that programme on the TV about the cheap ass foods? Those value sausages we only a small amount of meat! Same as those cheapie cheese slices, think they had only a tiny percentage of actual cheese! Check next time you go shopping, read the labels on the back and see whats in them! Including cheapo chicken titties, they are blown up with water to make them look bigger, just like jordan! (although i assume she has a more longer lasting substance in hers!) I $&!t you not dude!

I did. And i refuse to eat that stuff! local butchers or any finest or best range is okay

i could bring a sausage, we could do a live engine swap maybe?. with lots of lager anything is possable!

Wouldn't be the first time and you did make a cracking pasta and cheese dish

We could arrange something very short notice at Suprapod... or arrange something better a way off. Suprapod would guarantee a certain audience though!

That does seem like a good place and time.

I'm not around on that weekend but im sure i could send a life size pic of me instead :D

This is a seriously good idea. I know how to do the very basics, and I'm awesome at changing the engine oil* but there's things that I'd really like to learn. Anything to do with brakes I've always been nervous with, mainly because I don't know what I'm looking for. I wouldn't recongnise a brake shoe with 90% wear on it if it hit me on the head. This is where even things like Haynes manuals can be too advanced.

* shhh, not a word Graham! *wink*

If people would like to cover a number of different areas maybe we could select a few standard cars and cover areas like oil, air filter and plug service and another on brake checks and pads change etc then you could move on to try on your own car with any help needed being close by.

Sounds like a great idea. Even for the jobs I think I know, it's useful to watch other people do it to pick up tips.

Sounds like a great idea, I have changed the brakes and a few other bits but I could certainly use any help, I can even supply a car with the odd error code on and a few other bits I could do with help on ;)

You would get a good audience at suprapod but its probably safe to say the people that are going to that probably know the car inside out anyway.

I, for one, really don't know my car well on the inside of the engine bay at all. I know what a fair few things are but I have never had the time to get to know my way around.

I don't know how to change spark plugs or do any parts of a service - this is my first car!

I'm up for a bit of learning. Problem I have is that I can't really work on the car where it is located especially as I don't have stands (and nowhere to store some). Happy to take notes for the future though. Don't think I need the boot release one though. Found that in no time :-P

Great idea!

demonstrations on how to successfully open your boot without keys will be hosted by myself from 2 - 5pm with a half hour break between for refreshment and a Q and A session at the end. Please bring a paper and a pencil - Notes will be handed out too.

Will there be a PowerPoint presentation, and will you have a pointy stick with an LED on the end of it? I do hope so. :)

I won't be going to Suprapod, but when AFR, etc have open days, maybe they should do a demo on this kind of thing as part of the day, then they can sell some parts, and we could have a go with their (non guaranteed) supervision?
