The BC that he buys will still hold value so can sell it to recoup a chunk if and when the time arrises.. But even at BPU a decent ECU will give you notable benefits against a piggyback ECU and EBC. Besides, a BPU car with all the Syvecs features would be a lot more desirable to me than one without, so residual values will work both ways in this case... with the OP stating he may like to go single in the future I'd say his best option would be to get a plan together and then take the Solaris plunge. I guess I'm basing my views on the fact that the OP wants to go single, so isn't afraid of spending a bit of dosh to get his car right.
